The Braves reclaimed Suarez from the Orioles and designated George Soriano for assignment to open the roster spot. Suarez has no remaining minor-league options, so placing him in the Braves' farm system would require another DFA and clearing waivers. Suarez appeared in seven big-league games last season, throwing 19.1 innings with a 1.86 ERA and a 3.70 FIP while also posting strong Triple-A numbers in 2025.
