"The annual MLB Winter Meetings began on Sunday in Orlando, Fla., kicking off one of the busiest weeks of the offseason. The first order of business will be the announcement of the Hall of Fame Contemporary Baseball Era voting results on Sunday night. Any of Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy, Gary Sheffield and Fernando Valenzuela could join the class of 2026 with enough votes."
"There has been plenty of speculation surrounding the likes of Kyle Tucker, Edwin Díaz and Cody Bellinger, who could all choose their next team during the Winter Meetings. The Los Angeles Dodgers, fresh off a second consecutive World Series title, have been linked to each player as they look to improve their roster this offseason. The team has been relatively quiet to this point but that could change at any point in the coming days."
The MLB Winter Meetings take place in Orlando from Sunday through Wednesday, concluding with the Rule 5 Draft. The Hall of Fame Contemporary Baseball Era voting results will be announced Sunday night and could elect players such as Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Carlos Delgado, Jeff Kent, Don Mattingly, Dale Murphy, Gary Sheffield or Fernando Valenzuela to the 2026 class. The MLB Draft Lottery on Tuesday will determine the first six picks in the 2026 Draft. The Rule 5 Draft allows teams to add promising Minor League players not on 40-man rosters. Significant free-agent signings and trades remain possible, with Kyle Tucker, Edwin Díaz and Cody Bellinger among names linked to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
