"Signed out of Venezuela as part of the 2023 international signing class, Reyes received a bonus of $250,000 to join the Braves organization. What were the 2025 expectations? Coming into the 2025 season, Jeremy Reyes received plenty of hype - and rightfully so. All the 19-year-old has done since he came stateside in 2024 has put up stellar numbers on the mound."
"In 36.2 innings pitched between the FCL Braves and the Augusta GreenJackets, Reyes pitched to a sparkling 1.96 ERA - including an ERA of 3.00 in 15 innings at low-A. However, he did struggle with his command over that stretch - averaging 6.1 walks per nine innings - so there were cleary some things he needed to work on moving forward."
"In 18 starts Reyes tossed 76.1 innings while spinning a 2.71 ERA on the year over that span. He also allowed just two home runs in those 76.1 innings, which were ironically the first homers he had allowed in his professional career to date. While he did strike out 84 batters, which was good enough for 9.9 strikeouts per nine innings, command was still the one major thing holding Reyes back as he averaged 5.8 free passes per nine frames on the season."
Signed out of Venezuela in the 2023 international class, Jeremy Reyes received a $250,000 bonus to join the Braves. The 19-year-old reached the United States in 2024 and posted a 1.96 ERA across 36.2 innings between the FCL Braves and Augusta, though he averaged 6.1 walks per nine. In 2025 he returned to Augusta, making 18 starts and throwing 76.1 innings with a 2.71 ERA, allowing only two home runs and striking out 84 hitters (9.9 K/9). Command remained a concern at 5.8 walks per nine, but his tools and work ethic project him as a high-upside prospect entering 2026.
