Tom Meusborn is ending his career as a head baseball coach after nearly 35 years. He coached Sierra Canyon for the last four years and previously led Chatsworth for 27 years, winning eight City titles, the most by any coach. He also served as an assistant coach at Cal State Northridge for one year. At age 65, he said it is time to pass the torch and that he has enjoyed coaching at both programs. His retirement makes him eligible for the City Section Hall of Fame, with inductees for 2027 to be announced next year. He plans to stay involved in baseball, saying he does not play golf and wants to remain connected to the sport.
"By retiring, he makes himself eligible for the City Section Hall of Fame, which will announce its class of 2027 inductees next year. Just don't expect to see Meusborn leave the game completely. "I don't play golf," he said. "I want to stay involved.""
