Hardy Nickerson and Kenechi Udeze, two prominent football players from Verbum Dei, will be honored at a ceremony on campus. Nickerson, a linebacker from the class of 1983, had a successful NFL career spanning 16 years. Udeze, an All-American from the class of 2000, was a first-round draft choice after playing at USC. Both have transitioned into coaching, with Nickerson as head coach at JSerra and Udeze as an assistant at Florida International. A celebrity basketball game is also scheduled for the event.
