Demare Dezeurn of Bishop Alemany runs 100 meters in 10.32 seconds, second fastest in state
Briefly

Demare Dezeurn, a sophomore football player, aims to improve his receiving skills through track, achieving an impressive 100-meter time of 10.32 seconds, ranking second in California this season. Coach Terrell Stanley emphasizes patience in training to refine Dezeurn's stride. Dezeurn plans to transfer to Palisades High School, where he will be positioned as the fastest receiver in the City Section. Other remarkable performances included Ejam Yohannes of Loyola and Notre Dame's 4x100 relay team setting new school records.
"This is for football to get me faster," he said before running the 100 meters at the Thursday's Mission League track and field finals on Thursday at Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.
"He just has to wait a little longer," Stanley said.
His 100 time ties the league record set by Rodney Glass of Notre Dame in 2006.
He's had to be patient this season while training under Stanley, a new coach who wanted to improve Dezeurn's stride.
