Cal State East Bay's men's basketball team completed a dramatic comeback, scoring 18-2 in the final minutes to defeat Cal State Dominguez Hills 76-67 in the NCAA Division II Western Region semifinals. The Pioneers remain undefeated and are hosting the tournament in Hayward for the first time in 38 years. Point guard Amare Campbell credited trust in his teammates and faith for the clutch performance. The team completed a perfect 22-0 season in California Collegiate Athletic Association play, a conference record.
