Alabama's second-leading scorer Aden Holloway was arrested Monday morning after narcotics agents discovered over a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash at a residence near campus. He faces first-degree possession charges for marijuana not for personal use and failure to affix a tax stamp, both felonies carrying potential penalties of up to 10 years imprisonment and $15,000 in fines. The university removed Holloway from campus pending completion of the school's investigation process through the Office of Student Conduct. The 6-foot-1 junior averaged 16.8 points per game this season and made 44% of his three-point attempts. Alabama, seeded fourth in the Midwest Region, will face Hofstra in the NCAA tournament's first round without their star guard.
