"We're certainly disappointed in his behavior. But that being said, we still love him, he's still our guy. "According to Tuscaloosa County police spokesperson Stephanie Taylor, the 6-foot-1 guard was arrested Monday morning and transported to the Tuscaloosa County jail after agents with the West Alabama Narcotics Task Force searched a local residence and recovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia and cash. He is facing a first-degree drug possession charge and a failure to affix a tax stamp charge, both felonies."
Alabama head coach Nate Oats announced that star guard Aden Holloway has been suspended following his Monday morning arrest on felony drug possession charges. Authorities discovered more than a pound of marijuana, paraphernalia, and cash during a search of a local residence. Holloway, who averages 16.8 points per game and is second on the team in scoring, was removed from campus and will not participate in Friday's NCAA tournament matchup against Hofstra. Oats stated the team maintains standards and accountability while expressing continued support for Holloway. The Crimson Tide must adjust their offensive strategy, as they rank third nationally in adjusted offensive efficiency and lead the nation in scoring at 91.7 points per game.
