Woman charged with attempted murder in shooting at home of Rihanna

"A 35-year-old Florida woman has been charged with attempted murder after she allegedly fired shots into the Beverly Hills home of Rihanna on Sunday. "Jim McDonnell, the Los Angeles police chief, told reporters that 10 people had been at the superstar's home at the time of the shooting, but he did not confirm whether she; her partner, A$AP Rocky; or their three children were present. Investigators believe Ortiz drove to Los Angeles from Florida, McDonnell said, though the timing of her travel is unclear."

"Authorities have not said whether Ortiz has any connection to Rihanna or her family, and the motive for the shooting is unclear. Her most recent address was in Orlando and she has been a licensed speech pathologist for more than a decade, according to the Associated Press."
