Why staying at these rustic Hawaii cabins is like walking onto a TV set
Briefly

Camping at YMCA's Camp Erdman on Oahu offers a unique opportunity for fans of the TV series 'Lost.' This site, featured prominently in the show, allows guests to stay in cabins where scenes were filmed. The camp, located away from urban areas, attracts visitors eager to explore the surroundings that were part of the show. One guest recounted their experience of staying in a cabin near iconic filming spots, making for an unforgettable adventure that combines nostalgia for the series with the beauty of Hawaii.
"We have 'Lost' visitors four or five times a week probably," Andrew "Mish" Hood, senior executive director of YMCA Camp Erdman, told me. Visitors like to walk the grounds and see the "Lost" pod of houses, which have been painted from yellow to blue, and pick out sites that appeared onscreen.
For my stay, I booked an oceanfront Makai Cabin for $250 per night. After checking in at the front office, an area I recognize from the TV show, I drive to my yellow cabin.
