The Los Angeles Dodgers activated Tanner Scott from the 15-day injured list and optioned Matt Sauer to Triple-A Oklahoma City before the game against the Padres. Sauer had been added a day earlier, replaced Paul Gervase and threw two innings in a 9-4 win at Coors Field. This is Sauer's fifth option to the Minors this season, the maximum allowed under the current CBA, and a future recall in 2025 would require him to pass through waivers if removed from the roster. Scott returned after left elbow inflammation, an MRI showed no structural damage, and he completed a brief rehab outing.
