Directed by Michael Greene, the film, set for an August 5 release via Columbia Pictures, depicts the story of a musician striving to uphold his family legacy. The cast includes Jay Dee, Eric Roberts, and OhGeesy, among others. Humilde emphasized the film’s role in enhancing representation for Mexican-American creators in Hollywood, while Sony’s Sanford Panitch lauded Humilde’s profound impact on Mexican music and storytelling.
"This film paves the way for a whole new era of opportunity and representation for Mexican-American creators in Hollywood," Humilde said in a statement.
Sanford Panitch praised Humilde's previous works, indicating his vision reshaped the sound of Mexican music, now opening doors for new voices and stories.
