Hundreds of people gathered in South Los Angeles on Monday morning for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade. Los Angeles Sentinel and Bakewell Media hosted the event to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The 2-mile procession began at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Western Avenue, proceeded west on MLK to Crenshaw Boulevard, then continued south on Crenshaw to Vernon Avenue. The parade went east on Vernon and concluded at Leimert Park Plaza. Festivities and community activities continued at Leimert Park Plaza following the parade.
