"On Sept. 8, Los Angeles police officers responded to reports that a foul odor was emanating from a Tesla that had been towed from the Hollywood Hills to an impound lot on the 1000 block of N. Mansfield Avenue in LA. At the Hollywood Tow car lot, police made the gruesome discovery in the Tesla's front trunk of a hacked-up and "severely decomposed" body, according to a coroner's report seen by SFGATE."
"The body was that of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, the LA Medical Examiner's Office confirmed to SFGATE on Wednesday. Rivas disappeared from her Lake Elsinore home in April 2024 at the age of 13. Rivas' mother confirmed to TMZ that the body found in Burke's car was that of her daughter; she suspected it was her daughter after police described a tattoo of the word "Shhh..." on her finger, which matched Celeste's. The same tattoo can be seen on Burke's finger."
A decomposed body was discovered in the front trunk of a towed Tesla after officers responded to reports of a foul odor on Sept. 8. The coroner described the remains as hacked-up and severely decomposed. The Tesla was registered to singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd. The Los Angeles Medical Examiner identified the body as Celeste Rivas, who disappeared from her Lake Elsinore home in April 2024 at age 13. Rivas' mother confirmed the identification after police noted a "Shhh..." tattoo on the victim's finger that matched Celeste's; the same tattoo appears on Burke's finger. LAPD investigators searched a Hollywood Hills home and removed a computer and other items. Burke is currently on tour and tickets remain on sale.
