"Don't put away those umbrellas just yet: Even more rain is expected to hit Los Angeles on Thursday, continuing what's been an unusually early and wet start to the rainy season. About half an inch to an inch of rain is forecast to fall throughout the coastal and valleys areas of Los Angeles County. Although not nearly as potent as the storm that soaked the region over the weekend, rain could be strong enough to force the cancellation of outdoor events,"
"There's a 10% to 20% chance of rain Thursday morning in Los Angeles County, but that'll rise to 60% to 70% by the afternoon, and 80% to 100% by the evening. There's also a 60% to 70% chance of rain through Friday morning, and a 30% to 50% chance later on Friday. Showers could persist all the way into Saturday morning in L.A. County, but the rest of the weekend "is expected to be dry but cool," the weather service said."
Rain is forecast Thursday across Los Angeles County, with coastal and valley totals around half an inch to one inch and foothills and mountains receiving one to two inches. Rain chances rise through the day, reaching as high as 80% to 100% by evening, with lingering showers possible into Saturday morning. The storm may cancel outdoor events and could cause minor road flooding, rockslides, mudslides, and mountain ice or snow. The system is a cut-off low that can behave unpredictably, and there remains a small chance totals could be roughly double the main forecast. Temperatures should warm and the rest of the Thanksgiving week is expected to be dry.
