"We've been playing really good baseball here in the last couple of weeks. I feel like sometimes when these long seasons come to a point where a lot of people are trying to find their own ways to figure themselves out, and we were worrying too much about the personal, the personal stats and the personal at-bats and all that. I feel like right now, we're playing way better baseball, and I think the team is starting to play up a little bit better, and it happened at the right time, because we'll be playing in October here really soon, and we're looking forward to continue to do that."
"I mean, winning always gives you confidence. Whenever you go out there and win a baseball game, you're going to have confidence, and it's going to be better, because everybody's going to be enjoying the moment. Regardless of how it looks, we don't care how it looks. At this point, it's not about the process, it's about the results. That's what we're chasing, and that's what we're hunting. We're hunting the results, and it's been happening lately for us. So we're happy and motivated that this is going to keep going for October."
The Dodgers began September with a five-game losing streak amid concerns about selfish play and emphasis on individual stats. Miguel Rojas urged a return to enjoying the game and focusing on team performance. The club then won six of seven games and showed improved, more consistent play heading into the postseason. Rojas linked winning to increased confidence and said the team is now prioritizing results over process as it prepares for the Wild Card Series. Rojas received recognition from the club by being named the winner of the Roy Campanella Award.
