Los Angeles Dodgers reunite with catcher
"The 31-year-old then received an opportunity with the Dodgers in September due to Dalton Rushing going on the 10-day injured list with a right shin contusion. That came at a time when the team already was without Will Smith being available because of a bone bruise on his right hand. Smith remained part of the active roster but was limited because of the injury that later was revealed to be a hairline fracture."
"Robinson appeared in just one game for the Dodgers before getting optioned as a corresponding move to Max Muncy returning from the injured list. Robinson was recalled on Sept. 13 because Smith landed on the IL, though got optioned three days later in a corresponding move to the Dodgers activating Rushing. That was followed by the Dodgers quietly putting Robinson on waivers for a second time, and he was subsequently claimed by the Braves and optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett."
The Los Angeles Dodgers signed Chuckie Robinson to a Minor League contract after he finished the 2025 season with the Atlanta Braves organization. Robinson was previously claimed off waivers by the Dodgers on May 31 from the Angels, then designated for assignment and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Oklahoma City. He received a September Major League opportunity when Dalton Rushing hit the injured list and Will Smith was limited by a hand injury. Robinson has MLB experience with the Cincinnati Reds (2022) and the Chicago White Sox (2024). The Braves later outrighted him and he elected free agency.
