The recently opened LAX/Metro Transit Center aims to make travel to and from Los Angeles International Airport easier by connecting directly to Metro's C and K lines. Located outside the airport, it also serves as a hub for 14 bus lines including Santa Monica's Big Blue Bus and the Culver City Bus. While the center isn't yet connected to the airport, an Automated People Mover is expected to open in 2026, allowing seamless transfers, with shuttles currently bridging the gap every 10 minutes between the center and airport terminals.
The new LAX/Metro Transit Center is set to transform the way travelers access Los Angeles International Airport, making it easier and more efficient to connect with the city.
Although the transit center is not yet directly connected to the airport, the future Automated People Mover will ensure seamless travel for passengers, enhancing their overall experience.
