I moved from Los Angeles to Phoenix for my job but it was a mistake

Moving from Los Angeles to Phoenix for a job in June 2022 proved difficult. The heat and lack of social connections were challenging. The decision was initially based on potential career growth after a company relocation due to COVID. Working in a mostly remote role put pressure on staying with the company. Despite the challenges, an opportunity for leadership in Phoenix motivated the move. The relocation involved organizing office logistics and searching for housing, incurring personal costs and utilizing vacation days.
I was dedicated to the cause. During the relocation period, I helped disassemble the office and coordinated the transportation of furniture and equipment while also searching for housing for myself.
Most employees at the Los Angeles location worked remotely. However, my responsibilities required me to go into the office.
