Enormous Shohei Ohtani, Decoy Mural Painted at Los Angeles Dog Park
"We are more than just a park. We combine the exclusivity and safety of a private members' club with the lively spirit of your favorite neighborhood hangout,"
"Whether you're here for a morning coffee, an after-work drink, or a weekend adventure, we offer a clean, safe, and welcoming space where you and your best friend can unwind and socialize with like-minded dog lovers."
"I don't look at Decoy like I'm his owner, he's just we're friends, me and Decoy are friends, we're family,"
A 28-foot-tall mural by Alex Ali Gonzalez at Pawradise Park in the Arts District depicts Shohei Ohtani high-fiving his Kooikerhondje Decoy. The artist posted a sweeping video highlighting details of human-animal friendship and invited onlookers to visit in person. Pawradise Park markets itself as a hybrid private members' club and neighborhood hangout offering coffee, drinks, a safe clean space, and a community for dog lovers. Ohtani calls Decoy a friend and family rather than a pet and co-authored a children's book, Decoy Saves Opening Day. There is no schedule yet for an appearance by Ohtani or Decoy.
