Dodgers' Yoshinobu Yamamoto Credits Dalton Rushing for Dominant Pitching Performance
Briefly

In a recent game against the Colorado Rockies, Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto showcased his talent by earning six strikeouts over five innings before rain cut his performance short. He credited much of his success to catcher Dalton Rushing's effective game-calling, which kept hitters off-balance. Manager Dave Roberts noted Rushing's contributions as well, emphasizing the synergy between the pitcher and catcher. Rushing explained his strategy in managing Yamamoto's pitch selection, helping generate numerous swings and misses and solidifying the ace's dominance on the mound.
I think he was calling my strengths pretty well. And then the results I got today, that was just because of the way he called the game.
I thought Dalton's fingers were great. He really made Yamamoto effective with his choices.
They were going up there pretty aggressive as hitters and those are the two (pitches) that kind of got them off-time and allowed him to create more swing and miss.
Yamamoto generated 11 swings and misses out of the 56 offerings he threw against the Rockies, with excellent pitch selection contributing to his success.
