Dodgers' Tommy Edman Likely Going on Injured List, Says Dave Roberts
Briefly

Tommy Edman left the game during the fifth inning due to a right ankle sprain incurred while rounding first base. Manager Dave Roberts stated that this injury is a recurrence of previous issues, indicating a likely stint on the injured list for Edman. Roberts expects Edman to be sidelined for more than two weeks. Edman expressed frustration over the injury and its impact on his ability to perform, describing it as feeling worse than his previous ankle issue. He is currently undergoing daily rehabilitation and treatments.
"It's a recurrence of what he's been dealing with," Roberts said. "I think once he hit the bag...I just don't see how it's not an IL. We're obviously gonna get Muncy back, so that'll probably be the move."
"It felt a little bit worse than what I felt in Boston last week," Edman said. "I think it's too early to tell, we'll figure that out once we look at the images. It's a bummer, I'm trying to play the game hard but it's tough to do that when I feel like I don't have the stability there that I need."
