Dodgers select select Florida State RHP Cam Leiter, Cincinnati OF Landyn Vidourek with 65th and 104th picks of 2025 MLB Draft
Briefly

The Dodgers drafted Cam Leiter from Florida State and Landyn Vidourek from Cincinnati in the second and third rounds, picks No. 65 and No. 104 overall. Leiter, recovering from a shoulder injury, previously demonstrated first-round potential with impressive numbers, including a 96 MPH fastball and a 35% strikeout rate. He possesses a strong arsenal, boasting a high spin curveball and intriguing secondary pitches. Vidourek rounds out the Dodgers' draft strategy focusing on strong collegiate performance, continuing a trend of selecting promising talent with upside.
Leiter did not pitch this spring due to a shoulder injury, but the 21-year-old showed off first-round type upside last time he was on the mound.
His fastball produced an excellent 29% in-zone whiff rate and could be a plus offering if he gets back to the same metrics.
His curveball had good spin, averaging 2,686 RPMs with -15 inches of induced vertical break and 10 inches of sweep.
There’s certainly reliever risk, but he could play well there too if his fastball remains electric.
