"The catch made in left-center field by Andy Pages during Game 7 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays has been one of the most talked about from a World Series that was chock-full of them. Kiké Hernández was the other player involved in the play, and he previously gave a first-hand account of getting "posterized " by Pages' heroic catch. During an appearance on "The Sedano and Kap Morning Show" on ESPN LA sports radio, Tommy Edman shared his perspective of Pages' game-saving catch:"
"Yeah, it was crazy. Probably for a couple seconds, nobody knew if he caught the ball or not. You see both guys kind of go to the ground, you see Kiké laying on the ground and he's in a state of despair because he thought nobody had caught it. And then you see Andy kind of get up and start to run off the field, and you're like, 'Oh, thank goodness he caught it.'"
Andy Pages executed a game-saving catch in left-center during Game 7, colliding with Kiké Hernández and producing an enduring World Series image. Tommy Edman described the immediate confusion when nobody knew if the ball had been caught, Hernández lying on the ground in despair, and Pages reassuring him after getting up. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts inserted Pages into center field late to capitalize on Pages' arm strength. Edman battled a right-ankle issue through 2025, required two injured-list stints, recently underwent surgery, and aims to return healthy and able to play multiple positions next season.
