Roki Sasaki began a Minor League rehab assignment with the Triple-A Oklahoma City Comets on Aug. 14, aiming to return to the Dodgers' roster this season. He struggled in his first start since May 9, allowing three runs on six hits with no strikeouts and one walk in two innings. His second outing improved: two runs (one earned), three hits, three walks and two strikeouts over 3.1 innings. In his third start he threw 3.2 innings, allowed three runs and recorded four strikeouts. His fastball topped 98.8 mph and averaged 96 mph, but he has generated only three swings and misses on 100 fastballs. The Dodgers consider him progressing but may want one more rehab start before activation.
