"Less than three weeks remain in the regular season, and the Los Angeles Dodgers are still looking to get back to full health before beginning what they hope will be another successful October run. They did just welcome back Max Muncy before the series opener against the Colorado Rockies, and Alex Vesia was activated on Tuesday, but the likes of Tommy Edman, Brock Stewart and Dalton Rushing are still on the injured list."
"Rushing needed to be assisted off the field after fouling a pitch off his leg. The optics suggested a significant injury, but an X-ray and CT scan both came back negative for a fracture. That was somewhat of a surprise - and certainly a relief - to Rushing. "Dalton is doing well. Went out and threw to bases, hit today, so I think [Wednesday] he's going to head out on rehab assignment," Roberts said."
Less than three weeks remain in the regular season and the Los Angeles Dodgers have begun reintegrating injured players while several remain on the injured list. Max Muncy returned before the series opener and Alex Vesia was activated, but Tommy Edman, Brock Stewart and Dalton Rushing continue on the IL. Stewart experienced a setback with right shoulder inflammation but improved after a second cortisone injection, threw a bullpen session, will face batters on Friday and then start a rehab assignment. Rushing fouled a pitch, scans showed no fracture, threw to bases, hit, and is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week. Edman is on track to play center field in the series finale after missing just over a month with a sprained right ankle.
