On Friday, with the score tied 1-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Orioles rookie catcher Samuel Basallo hit a 433-foot walk-off home run. The next night, after Yoshinobu Yamamoto threw 8.2 hitless innings, Jackson Holliday's solo home run put Baltimore ahead 3-1. Blake Treinen allowed a double, hit a batter, and issued two walks, one forcing in a run; Scott entered and yielded the walk-off single, though Treinen was charged with three earned runs. Manager Dave Roberts questioned continued reliance on Scott while noting limited alternatives, praised Edgardo Henriquez's recent performance, and said the bullpen must overcome a confidence issue.
