Dodgers' Alex Call Suffers Injury, Dave Roberts Provides Latest Update
Briefly

Alex Call exited Tuesday's game in the top of the seventh with lower back pain after scoring on a Miguel Rojas double. Call had pinch-hit in the sixth and hit into a fielder's choice that resulted in Andy Pages being thrown out at third. Manager Dave Roberts said Call reported playing through worse, hoped to have him available Wednesday, and did not view the issue as too concerning pending treatment. Call has been healthy all season after tearing his left plantar fascia last August. The Dodgers replaced him with rookie Justin Dean, who debuted Aug. 8.
"He says that he's played through worse," Roberts said after the game. "But my hope was to get him in there (Wednesday), so I wanted to get him out of the game. ... We'll see how he kind of responds to treatment, but I don't think it's too concerning."
