Dave Roberts, Freddie Freeman Talk Dodgers Potentially Becoming a Dynasty
"I think winning two championships within 10 years is a dynasty. But three - then it's undisputed. I guess we're vying to be undisputed."
"I do believe you've got to win more than two in five years to be considered a dynasty, I think. We'll see. Let's just keep winning more and more and more. Three in [six] years, I guess you could call it a dynasty."
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been dominant in MLB since Dave Roberts became manager in 2016, winning the division every season but one, accumulating five pennants and two World Series titles. After sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS, the Dodgers can win a third World Series championship this decade. Roberts suggested two championships in ten years qualify as a dynasty and that a third would make it undisputed. Freddie Freeman said more championships are needed to be considered a dynasty, proposing three in roughly six years as a threshold. The Dodgers enter the World Series as heavy favorites while awaiting the AL opponent.
