"a concrete bunker tucked behind the 14th tee and styled like a classic baseball dugout."
"It's a great course."
"It was a great interview, We had a good talk. It just didn't work out. The opportunity presented itself. They were looking for a manager, and they decided to interview me for the job. They told me to. I still love the Angels. That's why I did it. That's why I wanted to do it."
Mike Trout invited Torii Hunter to play rounds at Trout National in Millville, N.J., a course that does not formally open until April. The course was designed by Tiger Woods' team and features a refueling stop described as a concrete bunker tucked behind the 14th tee and styled like a classic baseball dugout. Hunter interviewed with Angels general manager Perry Minasian for the managerial vacancy but was not hired; the Angels hired former catcher Kurt Suzuki. Hunter said the interview went well, expressed no hard feelings, confirmed he still loves the Angels, and had informally pursued the Twins' vacancy. The Angels have an 11-year playoff drought and finished last in consecutive seasons.
