The Dodgers announced the retirement and confirmed the date of the last Dodger Stadium start. Dodgers owner and chairman Mark Walter congratulated Kershaw on a fabulous career and thanked him for the many moments he provided to Dodger fans and baseball fans everywhere and for his profound charitable endeavors. Walter described the career as truly legendary and expressed confidence that it will lead to induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame.
