Ali Sedaghat, a Los Angeles jewelry store owner, was robbed of a bag containing more than $200,000 in jewelry after leaving a Ventura Boulevard restaurant around 9 p.m. He noticed a flat tire less than 100 feet from the restaurant and stopped to inspect it, at which point assailants took his bag. The suspects were described as three men dressed in all black with ski masks; one displayed a knife and used it to forcefully take the bag. The suspects fled in an old black van. Police took a report, no jewelry description was available, and detectives are investigating.
