Bo Porter Hoping For Another Managerial Opportunity
"very interested"
"I would enjoy managing the Angels because I've been there the last two years, I've made an investment there,"
"The relationships have already been fortified."
Bo Porter, 53, is seeking another MLB managerial opportunity and is very interested in the Angels' current managerial vacancy. Porter managed the Astros in 2013–14, compiling a 110–190 record over two seasons. He has served as a third-base coach with the Diamondbacks, Marlins, Nationals, and Braves, and was moved from first base to third base with the Angels in May. He played parts of three major-league seasons with the Cubs, A's, and Rangers. Porter interviewed for the Angels' job in 2023 and has informed GM Perry Minasian of his interest. Several other managerial searches remain active around the league, with the Giants nearing a decision, the Rockies yet to begin a search while sorting front-office leadership, and openings in San Diego, Baltimore, Minnesota, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C.
