Tyran Stokes, a 6-foot-8, 245-pound top basketball recruit in the class of 2026, attended a Sherman Oaks Notre Dame football practice and wore jersey No. 67. He must complete 10 days of practices before becoming eligible for a game. Coaches welcomed his addition and plan to use him at receiver. Notre Dame basketball coach Matt Sargeant permits the tryout and already has three other basketball players on the football team. USC coach Eric Musselman watched after learning Stokes missed basketball practice. Teammate Zach White said Stokes will do great if he commits to the effort.
