A Florida woman has been charged in a shooting at Rihanna's Los Angeles home
"A Florida woman accused of firing gunshots at Rihanna's gated home in Los Angeles was charged Tuesday with one count of attempted murder and 10 counts of assault on a person with a semiautomatic firearm, court records showed Tuesday. The district attorney's office said 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz was charged in the shooting Sunday afternoon outside the superstar's home in the Beverly Hills area."
"Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell told media gathered for a news conference on a different subject earlier Tuesday that 10 people were at home at the time. He identified the house as Rihanna's, but he did not say whether she, her partner A$AP Rocky or their children were home when the shots were fired."
"Public records show her most recent address was in Orlando and that she has been a licensed speech pathologist for more than a decade. Authorities have not said if she has any connection to Rihanna."
Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, a 35-year-old Florida resident, was charged with one count of attempted murder and 10 counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm following a shooting at Rihanna's gated Beverly Hills home on Sunday afternoon. She also faces three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling, totaling 14 felony charges. Ten people were present in the home at the time, though it remains unclear if Rihanna or her family were home. Ortiz was arrested at the scene with a weapon recovered. She is being held on $10.2 million bail pending arraignment. Public records indicate she drove from Orlando, Florida, and worked as a licensed speech pathologist. No connection between Ortiz and Rihanna has been established.
