A delivery robot battles the elements in West Hollywood, gets support from online fans: 'Go coco, go!'
""No one knows how to act when it rains in LA [shaking my head],""
""Go coco, go,""
"The Coco Robotics website, however, describes the delivery bot as being "weather proof" and "engineered for efficient city travel.""
Heavy rain flooded streets in Los Angeles, complicating travel for motorists, pedestrians and cyclists, and causing water to seep into businesses in the nearby Fairfax District. On Melrose Place in West Hollywood, a pink-and-orange Coco Robotics delivery bot struggled through a flooded street while making a delivery. A passerby recorded the bot and posted the video on Instagram, where it received about 161,000 likes and more than 2,600 comments, with users cheering it on or urging assistance. Coco Robotics did not respond to requests for comment; the company website describes the bot as "weather proof" and "engineered for efficient city travel."
