Horner joins Oakley Capital to steer premium sports dealmaking
Christian Horner, 52, became an advisor to Oakley Capital, a London-headquartered private equity firm founded by Peter Dubens. The role follows his departure from the Milton Keynes constructor earlier in the year. Oakley Capital plans to work with dealmakers to find opportunities in highly contested European private markets. Sports assets are being reframed as resilient, cash-generative businesses with global growth as institutional capital increases. Horner previously led Red Bull Racing from 2005 to 2025, winning eight Drivers’ Championships, six Constructors’ titles, and 124 race victories, and launching Red Bull Powertrains and Red Bull Advanced Technologies, while generating over $3 billion in commercial revenue.
