Two separate fatal collisions occurred in County Meath on Thursday. The first incident involved a two-car collision on the N51 at Boyerstown at 7:45am, resulting in one death. A woman in her 40s, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene. A teenage girl passenger was airlifted to Children's Hospital Ireland with serious injuries, while the driver and another passenger were hospitalized with serious injuries. The second vehicle's driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Earlier that morning at 2am, a truck-van collision on the M3 at Dunshaughlin claimed another life. A man in his 40s, the van driver, died at the scene. The truck driver was taken to hospital as a precaution. Both scenes were closed for forensic examination, and gardaĆ­ appealed for witnesses and footage.
