"Jack was described as a popular man in the community who had a plethora of talents under his belt, which included training as an apprentice electrician, boxing, and performing on his guitar. Speaking on the tragedy, local councillor Pat Barden said the community was in shock. "He was known as a very talented sportsman and everybody is in shock over what happened. He was hugely popular and it is just devastating for his family, the Egans, the Cummins, and the Powers, who are respected greatly in the area. My sincere condolences," he said."
