The Belvedere Community Centre at Mitchell Close was threatened with closure when the Belvedere Community Forum could no longer operate it. In response, Age UK Bexley has taken over its management for three months, collaborating with Bexley Council, to ensure some vital services, including community events and fitness classes, continue. During this period, there will be community consultations to discuss the centre's future while residents express concerns over losing essential services they rely upon. The community remains hopeful for a long-term solution with another organization.
