
Two men in their 30s and 50s were arrested in north Dublin after Gardaí seized illegal drugs worth an estimated €1.4 million. The men are being detained at a Garda station in Dublin under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996. Gardaí confirmed that diamorphine, also known as heroin, was seized during an operation in Baldoyle, Dublin 13. Gardaí also found €18,000 worth of cannabis. Further searches elsewhere in the Dublin area resulted in an additional €70,000 worth of diamorphine. The drugs were sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis, and investigations are ongoing.
