Three women interviewed by police over enabling Mohamed al-Fayed's abuse

The Metropolitan Police is investigating individuals who may have enabled former Harrods owner Mohamed al-Fayed to commit crimes spanning from 1977 to 2014. Three women in their 40s, 50s, and 60s have been interviewed under caution regarding offences including human trafficking and facilitating rape. Al-Fayed died in 2023 without facing charges, but authorities are pursuing those suspected of assisting his alleged offending. A total of 154 people have come forward with allegations. The investigation follows decades of accusations, including reports by major media outlets and a 2009 Crown Prosecution Service decision not to prosecute al-Fayed over claims he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl.
