Sadness at death of Mayor of Primrose Hill' who championed homeless and vulnerable
""Once unofficially dubbed The Mayor of Primrose Hill, many of us will feel we have indeed lost our Mayor. There was no one quite like Phil to defend the values of our community.""
""Phil campaigned for Lucy's Law in 2018, to limit puppy farming, as well as supporting the charity All Dogs Matter. He was dedicated to community welfare.""
Phil Cowan, known informally as the 'Mayor of Primrose Hill', passed away on March 23, 2023, at 57. A dedicated volunteer, he supported various causes, including the Homeless charity Camden Streets Kitchen and was passionate about civic issues. Cowan's efforts included campaigning for Lucy's Law, limiting puppy farming, and reopening The Albert pub. Celebrated for his commitment to community values, a life celebration will be held at the Primrose Hill Community Centre, highlighting the impact he made and the loss felt by many in the community.
