A serious incident occurred at Parliament Square in Ramsey during untimed practice for the Superbike and Superstock classes on the opening day of the 2026 Isle of Man TT. The rider’s machine careered into a group of spectators, and the session was red-flagged at about 1.30pm. All injured individuals were taken to Nobles Hospital in Douglas. The Clerk of the Course later cancelled the first qualifying sessions scheduled for the afternoon. The Isle of Man TT confirmed that the rider and six spectators have been discharged after a structured safety review. Two spectators remain in hospital. The Parliament Square viewing area will remain prohibited for the remainder of the event, with immediate safety measures implemented while investigations continue.
