Lloyd Park in Walthamstow has reopened its refurbished playground after a £250,000 investment from Waltham Forest Council. The enhancements include a ninja trail, zip wire, and accessible facilities designed to cater to a diverse range of needs. The playground was inaugurated on April 10 by local councillor Clyde Loakes MBE. He emphasized the importance of outdoor play for children's development and the community's role in securing the funding for the project, which is expected to drive continued high visitation and foster local engagement.
I'm delighted to officially open this fantastic, newly refurbished play area to local children and families. Lloyd Park is an incredibly busy destination which attracts more than two million visits a year and the playground here is a large part of its popularity.
