Two years after the tragic death of eight-year-old girls Nuria Sajjad and Selena Lau in a London school crash, their families are still seeking answers. The incident occurred when a Land Rover crashed into a tea party at The Study Preparatory School. Claire Freemantle, the driver, reportedly suffered an epileptic seizure, leading to the crash. Initially not charged, she was rearrested after the Metropolitan Police reviewed the case. Families expressed frustration over the lengthy process and emphasized the need for accountability.
Smera Chohan, the mother of one of the girls, stated, "We have had to fight very hard - harder than any victim should ever have had to - but we remain committed to uncovering the truth about what happened."
Last year, the driver, Claire Freemantle, expressed sadness, stating she had "no recollection of what took place" and showed "deepest sorrow for the families who have suffered such dreadful loss and injury."
After a review, the Metropolitan Police rearrested Ms. Freemantle on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, emphasizing their priority to progress the lines of inquiry.
The girls' parents expressed their dismay at the prolonged wait for answers and demanded that someone be held accountable for the tragic event that took their daughters.
