Jerry Maloney, a 19-year-old from Newbridge, Co Kildare and member of the Traveller community, tragically died in a car crash on June 5. He was taken to Naas General Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. His teen driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A memorial service was held at St. Conleth's Parish Church, with mourners celebrating Jerry's life and the love he shared with his wife. Family members reflected on the profound loss and expressed the deep love Jerry had for his wife, Chloe, highlighting the tragedy of his untimely death shortly after marriage.
You used to collect us all and bring us to the sunbeds and on the way home you would put on love songs for us and we would sing our hearts out.
