"A Metropolitan Police officer who abused a teenage boy while serving as a police cadet leader has been convicted of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault. Then-PC Grant Fulker's offences took place in a Heathrow hotel room in February 2024, the Met Police said. The 32-year-old was convicted by a jury at Southwark Crown Court on Friday. He had already pleaded guilty to three counts of misconduct in public office for sending sexualised messages to the victim as well as another teenage boy."
"He was arrested in February 2024 and dismissed at an accelerated misconduct hearing a month later, the Met said. In a statement, Cdr Pete Stevens described Fulker's behaviour as "despicable" and said he "abused his position of trust as a cadet leader to take advantage of these boys in the most appalling way". The Met said following the allegations it reviewed all volunteer police cadet units across London to ensure they were following safeguarding procedures."
