Man (60s) dies following tractor crash in Co Leitrim as gardai at scene of serious crash in Wexford

A fatal road collision occurred on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong shortly before 11:00pm. A male driver in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was removed to the mortuary at Sligo University Hospital, and a post-mortem examination will take place, with the local coroner notified. The road remains closed while Garda Forensic Collision Investigators examine the scene and local diversions are in place. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and requesting any camera footage, including dash-cam, from road users travelling on the L3355 between 10:30pm and 11:00pm on Sunday 17th May 2026. Anyone with information is asked to contact Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station. Gardaí and emergency services are also at a serious road collision in Co Wexford, with the R702 near Curraghgraigue closed for the foreseeable future and motorists advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
