A fatal road collision occurred on the L3355 near Mullaghycullen, Drumcong shortly before 11:00pm. A male driver in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardaí and emergency services are also at a serious road collision in Co Wexford, with the R702 near Curraghgraigue closed for the foreseeable future and motorists advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes.
